Here is a fun little post. First year students at the Bellecour Art Schools in France were given the incredible assignment to render Chris Ryniak sketches into 3D computer generated images! 3D monsters running around and YES, more 3D butts!
Take gander at all the fun on the Bellecour blog.
Time to add a bit of spice to your life with Chris Ryniak’s Stinky Ginger- Golden Spicy colorway.
This grumpy little lady has even more sass now in this new glittery spicy colorway that will set your taste buds on fire. Another delicious treat from the Tomenosuke x Circus Posterus Sofubi line, it is limited to only 60 signed and numbered servings. She is available now in the Circus Posterus store here!
The Circus comes to town tomorrow if your town is Chicago. That’s right, the highly anticipated spectacle known as Circus Posterus’ “Traveling Circus” sets up the tents at Rotofugi Saturday night!
We have been previewing all kinds of sideshow fun from the artists the past few weekes, and we thought we would give Chris Ryniak a little love now.

Circus Posterus’ “Traveling Circus” at Rotofugi opens February 15 through March 9th.
Put down your chopsticks and take a big gulp of sake because the next Circus Posterus x Tomenosuke sofubi is about to light up your sinuses! This time around lil Miss Ginger has invited her cousin The Stinky Ginger Golden Spicy to the party, and she is just as stinky and even more spicy! All that glitter is gold in her book!
Those attending Circus Posterus’ “Traveling Circus” at Rotofugi will get the first shot at Chris Ryniak’s The Stinky Ginger Golden Spicy that weekend with the rest of us seeing the release at www.circusposterus.com and http://www.tomenosuke.com/ shortly after.
The Stinky Ginger Golden Spicy is an edition of 60 for $89.
Chris Ryniak has been hard at work gardening in his monster den, and we are happy to say the “Cabbageworts” are all done and heading off to the Circus Posterus group show “Traveling Circus” at Rotofugi Designer Toy Store & Gallery in Chicago, Feb. 15th.
Big eyes, two toothed, and with a fun scarf these heads aren’t going to last long!
We are starting something new on the Circus Posterus Forums this week with the first in a long list of artist AMA chats (ask me anything). Collectors, friends, and followers from all over the world can have access to our artists and ask them those questions that have been plaguing their minds for weeks(years? decades?).
Our first victim is none other than Chris Ryniak!
This is how it all goes down:
- The AMA will start on Sunday, February 9 at 9pm Central with a new forum thread started.
- Log in and start asking Chris questions via the forum after the introduction.
- Chris will answer what he can for one hour on the forum.
- Prepare your questions ahead of time.
- Try to ask one part questions so he can answer as many people’s questions as possible in the time allotted.
- Try to avoid easy questions that can be answered by doing some shallow internet digging.
So, start thinking up those questions, and we will see you right here on Sunday.
More amazing Circus Posterus artists in the works too!
Oh, could it be? Chris Ryniak has a new figure coming up!
Your tired eyes don’t deceive you, because Chris Ryniak is making a new figure, titled “Cabbagewort”, for the Circus Posterus show at Rotofugi. This one is homegrown in his own basement studio, which likely means that it’ll be a small edition showcase of his remarkable sculpting talent.
You might remember that Chris has made molds with small editions of great little creatures like Nuggleworts, Bugbites, and Fuzzlethumps. Since this is way early in the creation process, we will let this head grow a bit before we pick it, and let Chris do his gardening and such.
Below is a pile of cast Cabbagewort heads, hanging out with their Fuzzlethump and Crumbeater buddies – we can’t wait to see what Chris will be doing with them!
The Circus Posterus Store has more of your holiday shopping needs with Chris Ryniak and Amanda Louise Spayd originals ready for your wall.
We’ve just added gorgeous metallic wall hangings – Dreamkeepers by Amanda and Tunkerbiskits by Chris! Check them out!
We haven’t seen this beastie known as Freyja in quite a bit, but it looks like a few have come out of their summer slumber period for Winter Salon III!
This low edition of 10 Winter Bloom Freyjas by Chris Ryniak make their cold weather migration to Albuquerque this Friday for the exhibit. You should probably be warned that these guys are on the endangered species list and we will not see them for very long.
The Winter Salon runs December 6th – 29th, with an opening reception on Friday, December 6th from 6 – 9 PM.
Bring on the Fuzzlethumps! Finished and ready for Designer Con, Chris Ryniak‘s Fuzzlethumps are destined to be an instant hit. For the convention, Chris hand cast and painted 10 of these lil’ buggers in a light blue to go along with the rest of his con editions. Each Fuzzlethump will be $175 and ready to give you that goofy smile all the way home.
You can get your Fuzzlethump at the Circus Posterus booth #400 at Designer Con!!!!
