Skelves + Ink Slinger = Ink Slinger’s Dream

  • by

ink-slingers-dream

Many of us have been waiting years upon years to see Brandt Peters‘ character Inkslinger in 3D form, and with Tuesday’s news, we will finally see this fella in the Wandering Misfits mini series!

Before this sought after figure becomes available, you can have him adorning your wall with the awesome print “Inkslinger’s Dream“. This print from several years back features the almighty tattoo loving Inkslinger and a couple mischievous Skelves filling his head.

This signed and numbered archival print is a low run of only 20 (There may only be 1 or 2 left in the store) and is 24×12.5 inches for $125. Pick it up right here in the CP Store!

DrilOne’s New Shirts!

  • by

Our favourite rustmaster DrilOne just let us know that he’s releasing some new shirts over at his store, and they look incredible! They feature his soon-to-be-classic Drone character design, as well as a ColdWar-esque logo. There is more information on his site, so please visit to learn more!

DrilOne says: “The Cold-war Olive and Lime Clean Drone will only be available during pre-order. They will not be printed in these colors again. Women’s sizes and 3XL-5XL are also ONLY available during pre-order.

Buy a shirt before 03.19.13 and you will be entered into a raffle for a hand painted Mini-Drone per each shirt order.”

If you are enthralled by DrilOne’s Drone design, we still have a few custom Drones left from his wonderful show in January, Empty World in our store. These are hand-casted and hand-painted from a original sculpt by DrilOne. I’m partial to the Orange Rust Drone, but these lovely custom paints are also available in Cotton Candy, Pink Warhol, and a small Warhol Camo edition.

Blank Bubbleguts and Crumbeaters are go!

  • by

Crumbs

We have a prescription for current conditions of cold rain, snow, and general malaise, and the answer is a heavy dose of blank green Bubbleguts and Crumbeaters by Chris Ryniak. You can call these little monsters DIY, unpainted, or just blank, but even with their singular color, they are adorable and constantly hungry. If you want to give one of these green (not queasy) fiends a new home or a trip to a buffet, you can because they are now on sale in the Circus Posterus Store.

Pickled Ginger goes to sushi

  • by

Last week found Miss Stinky Ginger going out to sushi with the Stranger Factory family, and she seems none too pleased about it. Perhaps she doesn’t appreciate watching her relatives being eaten, but we also have it on good account that she never really cared much for wasabi.

(from Kathie at instagram.com/circusposterus)

This image was snapped by Brandt Peters(instagram.com/brandtpeters) and features the delightful Valency(painter and Stranger Factory wrangler extraordinaire), Mikee(store manager, and default whipping boy) and Aubrie(gallery manager and damn classy lady). Pickled Ginger is in the middle, being accosted by Mikee.

Mikee took this picture(instagram.com/coma21) and oh boy, she is one grumpy root.

If these delicious images of Stinky Ginger (Pickled Ginger colourway) have piqued your interest(and tastebuds), we still have a couple left in stock at in the store for $89! She is an edition of 120, with 60 of those being allocated to North America/Stranger Factory. Bring her home for dinner today – she’ll add some spice to your life!

A little look at Migration!

  • by

Chris Ryniak and Amanda Louise Spayd’s Migration officially opens in about an hour, but the show is hung, the preview is up, and we think it’s about time to give you a quick look at this gorgeous show!

The centerpiece of this show is Chris and Amanda’s large collaboration piece, Gallivant and the Huskyshumbler. Standing at over two feet tall, this gorgeous beast and its squishy rider are well equipped and ready for a new adventure to some lucky collector’s house.

The three dimensional wall plaque series looks wonderful! These are retailing in the $250-$350 range, which is a steal for either Chris’ or Amanda’s work, so try to be at Stranger Factory tonight to snatch one up.

As per Stranger Factory tradition, the show setup is always gorgeous and complimentary to the pieces in the gallery, and that is certainly true for this show. Old boxes, weathered wooden stools, and miscellaneous antique trimmings…it’s a sight to behold!

For those of you not lucky enough to be at opening night tonight(like me! *sob), the online purchase period opens on Monday, March 4th, noon PST. More details are listed on the Online Preview Page, so please read them closely! The production pieces and any remaining art will be appearing in the Circus Posterus store in mid-March.

Brad is on the ground tonight in Albuquerque and reporting live on the Circus Posterus Instagram, so follow us on Instagram at @circusposterus and @strangerfactory for live updates on opening night. Our friends and photographers Amy Greenwood (@vinylgoddess) and Sara Harvey (@4theloveoftoys) are also at opening night, and their Instagram feeds have been filling up with delightful pictures, so we can also attempt to live vicariously through them, although the Rebel Donuts and breakfast burritos are not quite as delicious when experienced by someone else.

Migration opening tonight!

  • by

Tonight is the night, and beautiful Albuquerque has been filling up with all sorts of odd circus folk, ready for an amazing art show by Chris Ryniak and Amanda Louise Spayd. We cannot wait to show to you all the treats in store!

(Including these new, and very adorable, stickers! These, and many other wonderful Circus Posterus and Stranger Factory stickers are available behind the counter.)

As a reminder, the retail half of Stranger Factory will remain open all day, so please come in to do your shopping! The gallery side will be open once the show is hung, but purchase inquiries will not be accepted before 6pm. There will be a number system for those waiting to purchase art from this show.

We looking forward to seeing you tonight! The Rebel Donuts, good company, and bad jokes are on us.
