Art for Wandering Misfits

0055e6eae38411e2b34b22000aaa2162_7Oh man, there is now box artwork for the Wandering Misfits mini series by Kathie Olivas and Brandt Peters from  Cardboard Spaceship Toys!

In an amazing Halloween-ey colour scheme, this cavalcade of chaos looks like they are having the time of their life! This mini series is chugging along, and we’re just as excited as you are to see what’s next!

LAST DAY to support MUSE No. 1!

It’s here, the last 24 hours of the Kickstarter campaign for Brandt’s sketchbook! It has already been a resounding success, but here’s your reminder, just in case you haven’t pledged and would like to get in on the ground floor!

The funds from this Kickstarter help support future projects by more of your favourite Circus Posterus artists, and your support for this sketchbook will be the first step in so much more!

And rewards include a rare chance for custom Skelves in the colour of your choice, limited edition prints, and even an opportunity to hang out in sunny Albuquerque with Kathie, Brandt and the Circus Posterus crew!

You can PLEDGE RIGHT HERE!

Brandt writes –

“MUSE 1 marks the very first artist sketchbook release under the Circus Posterus Studios sketchbook series. This first sketchbook focuses entirely on my process, my vision, as well as ideas way before they make their way into production – that raw, black and white electric moment prior to production.

I have been meaning to personally produce a sketchbook of my work for quite some time; after much planning, I will be designing the entire book project from start to finish – focusing 100% on my vision and design sense. Much of the concept design in MUSE 1 connects back to actual artwork, toys, prints, and even originals.”

Glenn is now raising the Barr

IMG_8931With the opening night on Friday, July 5th looming, we have many pieces that we can’t wait to show you from all the artists, and we thought we’d continue with some from Glenn Barr. Last week, we showed you some early drafts of what Glenn has in store for July, and now we have a much more detailed look into that body of work.

Glenn has an assortment of smaller pieces that should be priced just right for many pocket books! The color palette and theme is classic Barr with the dark undertones, and lovely ladies gracing every one of the canvases. The development from the original concepts from last week are amazing, and fortunately, we don’t have to wait long to see the finished products!

Glenn Barr’s exhibit along with Phil Noto and Colin Christian runs July 5th – July 28th, with an opening reception on Friday, July 5th from 6 – 9 PM at Stranger Factory.

(ed. note: I cannot believe Brad’s awful pun in that title. 5 points to Hufflepuff.)

No crumb left uneaten at SDCC

Herd of Crumbs

Hide your pretzels and don’t leave a burrito anywhere near them, because a herd of Crumbeaters are making their way to the San Diego Comic Con!

Chris Ryniak has taken a small handful of these small hunger driven creations and given them each their own distinct personality. You read correctly, every one of these dudes have some added sculpting and attitude! All are distinct and definitely one of a kind. There is just one more finishing touch left on them before they head over to the Cardboard Spaceship booth #5346 on Saturday, July 20th when Circus Posterus takes over for a day.

…and they are HUNGRY!
