Kathie Olivas and Brandt Peters have a brand new mini series coming from Kidrobot!
This nautical themed series will go very well with Lord Strange and his The 13 Dunny series!

Right across the pond from Infernal Manor, through the Jellyfish Islands, between the barnacle banks lies a mysterious Dark Harbor and the strange adventures of Lucy Curious. Curious met Strange one Summer vacation by what one could only describe as fate. With a shared fascination of all things strange, the two spent every single Summer together identifying local animal species, rare poisonous plants, and collecting sample specimens of expired sea life. One ill-fated Summer, Lucy’s vacation to the sea-side harbor never came to be, when her ship was lost at sea only a mere mile from the port… At first word, Lord Strange took his boat out to find Lucy where he quickly found himself caught in a hidden world between the living and the dead. Lucy eventually did wash ashore, the only survivor . Upon her arrival to Strange’s manor, she is unable to find Strange but stumbles upon Strange’s secret laboratory filled with an army of curious mystical creatures and puzzling notebooks filled with plans for robotic marvels, maps to treasure filled ruins, worlds beyond worlds and top secrets yet to be known. It’s now up to lucy to finish what Strange had started in, hopes of finding him one day. Join Lucy Curious and her crew of fearless scalyywags, salty sea ghosts, curious beasts and robotic marvels as they travel the world to find her friend, Lord Strange.

Elizabeth in a bear suitIt is like Halloween in here, because the eye candy is coming non stop! Two more 3D renderings from the 2013 Blind Box Mini-series WANDERING MISFITS by Cardboard Spaceship Toys based on Kathie Olivas’ and Brandt Peters’ familiar characters have turned up! The sculpts by Scott Wetterschneider of Shinbone Creative are looking amazing!

Above we, have Elizabeth in a Bear Suit adorned in a bear hat, dunce cap, collar dress, and of course a lollipop. This piece most definitely screams in Kathie’s beloved style. Below, we have the cherished Boo Skelve in all its not-too scary-glory. We love the added rib cage on this fella.

WANDERING MISFITS: Calliope and Inkslinger

More and more updates for the Brandt Peters and Kathie Olivas‘  Wandering Misfits Blind Box mini-series by Cardboard Spaceship are turning up! This time, the Circus Posterus Tumblr showed us Calliope and the final Wandering Misfits reveal – Inkslinger #5. Finally, Inkslinger has a production version of his bad self! 

With this tiny floppy eared girl, and the tattoo loving cephalopod, the series total is now at 11  figures, including: Devil Boy, Heathen Snake Skelve, The Greeter Skelve, Kuma Skelve, Elizabeth in Bear Suit, Inkslinger, Boo Skelve, Bat Boy, 4-legged Masao Skelve, Calliope, and Skelve Pull Toy.

The series will be based on Brandt and Kathie’s familiar characters, the Wandering Misfits. The sculpting is done by a familiar face that Circus Posterus have collaborated with before, Scott Wetterschneider of Shinbone Creative.   We are stoked to see the full 3d versions soon!

YES! Another sketch from Brandt Peters and Kathie Olivas‘  Wandering Misfits Blind Box Mini-series by Cardboard Spaceship has popped up! This time, we get a glimpse at Kathie’s Bear Suit Elizabeth. Of course, she has her tentacle like arms wrapped around a lollie, and those eyes imply quite strongly that you will not be taking it from her.

We’ll be showing you many more sketches from the series in weeks to come…then we’ll really do your head in with some 3D models and process pics. Stay stoked because this series is right around the corner!

Welcome the release of the Mini Greeter this Friday

We have been taunted and haunted by this glowing spectre for weeks now, but the day has come for the glow in the dark Mini Greeter!

This glowy ghost will be released this Friday, February 22 at various increments and times during the day for $65 in the Circus Posterus store. The total edition size is 120, and a small amount of the edition will pop up in the store at random times, so keep checking back if you think it is sold out!

Sculpted by the talented Scott Wetterschneider of Shinbone Creative,the Mini Greeter is part of the series of larger sculpts being made in conjunction with the Cardboard Spaceship x Circus Posterus mini series.

Another sketch for the Wandering Misfits mini series

CBS pullToday, we found another enticing image from the Brandt Peters and Kathie Olivas Blind Box Mini-series by Cardboard Spaceship! Oh, what a fiendish and suspenseful way for us to see the development of this series.
This time around, the sketch being shown is a Skelve pull toy for the Wandering Misfits. The Skelve looks ever so happy; possibly going “Wheeee” as it glides across the floor!

The Wandering Misfits series is going to be legendary, and we can’t wait to see more images soon.

 

A 4-legged Masao Skelve for the Cardboard Spaceship Mini Series

Popping up this past week on the Circus Posterus Tumblr is another sketch from the Brandt Peters and Kathie Olivas Blind Box Miniseries from Cardboard Spaceship. This time, it is the fan favorite 4-legged Masao Skelve that holds a place in all our hearts because the nomenclature is from our dear friend Charity’s moniker!

The mini series is right around the corner – as Kathie recently stated on the CP Forum “We are about to output the digital sculpts which are all finished– so excited for this series! Then it’s off to the factory!”

We can’t wait!

2013 just started and there is already a deluge of amazing releases slated for the year. The much rumored Brandt Peters and Kathie Olivas Blind Box Mini-series by Cardboard Spaceship is coming to fruition!

The series will be based on Brandt and Kathie’s familiar characters, the Wandering Misfits, and we have a teaser image of one of the pieces in the series, a snake Skelve! Fans have been asking for a snake Skelve production for a while now, and that looks like it’s around the corner!. The sculpting is done by a familiar face that Circus Posterus have collaborated with before, Scott Wetterschneider of Shinbone Creative.   We are stoked to see the full 3d versions soon!
