ICYMI: Trigger II all over the internet this past weekend!

  • by

unnamedIn case you missed it, Trigger II previews were all over the internet this past weekend. Brandt and Ferg had an all out war with images of their work, and it was a sight to see everything pop up on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter. So, if you weren’t near social media or were hibernating from the bitter cold out there, we have you covered.

Above is a bloody custom in progress from Brandt Peters titled “The Butcher”. Oh, that meat grinder accessory would make Sweeney Todd swoon with delight.

Below we have Ferg’s plague doctor custom. He knows what you did last summer and it involves meat hooks!
hooksI know we’ve been talking about how big Brandt is going with some of his new pieces, but I think it might be hard to understand exactly how big without some perspective. For reference, Brandt’s hands are not tiny.

BiggunsTrigger II runs January 10th – February 2nd, with an opening reception on Friday, January 10th from 6 – 9 PM. Both artists will be in attendance.

Clear Ooze

We tried, but we couldn’t keep this one under wraps for too much longer!

Time for a preview of this clear Ooze Terror Boy for Trigger II. Ferg isn’t holding back one bit! I love the orange eyes on this one, as well as the dashing blue jacket. Thankfully, we don’t have to wait too much longer to see the final piece!

News from the Front Lines of Trigger II

  • by

Should we dub this “Maniac Monday” as a tribute to the Terror Boys, or just say we have a double barrel shotgun of images loaded and ready to blast at you for Trigger II?

Regardless of the stupid puns we think up, you might want to go ahead and pick your jaw up off the floor because we have some wonderful previews from Brandt Peters and Ferg!

Up first, is a gloriously awesome blood splatter piece by Brandt. No full monty yet but we do see where this is going, an oozing Terror Boy with machetes dripping crimson. Next to this little guy is what we are all anxiously awaiting, one of Brandt’s girls! A terror girl maybe?

BPTrigger2Now, time for Ferg! Is this a new Trouble Boy?

With the emphasis on the utility belt which will house more clips and weapons that Batman, this is a good possibility. Let the speculation begin!burnt_tb

First look at Trigger II

  • by

You have waited almost two years, and it is about to go down in a blaze of glory (not with Bon Jovi and Emilio Estevez). Guns up, full of trouble, and fueled by pure unhinged terror, it is time for our first look at Trigger II!

Guns upWe don’t know much from this preview image from Fergbut we can make out a few things like the chrome dome, all black attire, and tommy gun. We will have to wait a few weeks for detailed shots, but for now, this should get your blood spilling all over the place.

Keep your gas mask off for a bit because we will keep posting updates here on Trigger II as we get them. Remember, Brandt Peters x Ferg’s Trigger II runs January 10th – February 2nd, with an opening reception on Friday, January 10th from 6 – 9 PM. Both artists will be in attendance.

Jackalopes hop to Winter Salon III

b712b2e654bd11e3803b1276cb13382f_7One thing about the cold winters, it gives great artists like Carisa Swenson time in the warm studio to work. Psssh…they don’t need an excuse to get to the studio!

The creativity is pouring from Carisa’s work space. We know she is a busy bee, but we did manage to get a few progress images for Winter Salon III again. This is still  developing work, but Carisa is sculpting the beloved mythical animal of North American folklore, the Jackalope.

So far, we can see three stages of her Jackalope development here: sculpting, painting, and squishy body creation. Above, we can see the head sculpt taking form. Below, starts the paint application, where many fine details come into play. Finally, (after a small time skip) the body creation and placement! Since Carisa is known for dressing her creations in a delightfully anthropomorphic style, we will just have to wait a bit to see what her genius mind thinks up for the completion.

A closelook into Kelly Denato’s Winter Salon III work

  • by

CaptureWe weren’t kidding when we said “a close look” at Kelly Denato’s work. As she puts it, “It’s not just another pretty accessory, my magnifying pendant comes in handy time to time”.

This is a true teaser of an image with close ups and no follow up image – like the movie trailer you see during December for a summer blockbuster film in July. We love tiny work, and as soon as we can get more on what Kelly Denato has in store for us at Winter Salon III (with magnifying glass or not), we will get them to you pronto.
