2016 Stranger Factory Halloween Contest!

Contest Time!

Ghosts and ghouls, in celebration of Bewitching 6, and our favorite time of the year, we have an epic Halloween Contest with the most spooktacular guest judge Dark Town Sally!

Stranger Factory wants to see how you decorate for Halloween!!!!

The rules are simple: Show us your Halloween decorations!
We want to see any pumpkins you carve, house decorations, setups of toys with a spooky theme, cupcakes you make, and so on. You get the spooky idea right? BUT you must use the hashtag #StrangerFactoryHalloween so we know you have entered.

The prizes are awesome: Two winners will receive a custom Halloween treat bag filled with goods so awesome the Great Pumpkin is jealous!

The deadline is Wednesday, October 26 at 9pm CST to give our captivaiting judge Dark Town Sally time to pick a winner.

Only TWO will win, but all will have a blast participating.

The contest is open to EVERYONE and each contestant is allowed as many entries as they want!

“Dubious Monsters Around You” contest

Presenting the “Dubious Monsters Around You” contest, in conjunction with the Dubious Beasts art show, opening in March at Stranger Factory.

Our intrepid artists and researchers, Shing Yin and Leslie Levings, study monsters that hide out in our world, often in plain sight. Now, we’re looking for some brave citizen scientists to join us in our quest.

Take a picture of a monster face hiding in the wild. Perhaps it is part of a parking meter, on the side of a building, or the front grill of a car. Attaching googly eyes to fruit, or making a monster face of your own is also totally acceptable.

Post the image on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr or our Sideshow at (http://www.circusposterus.com/forum/) with the hashtag#DubiousMonstersAroundYou to enter!

Contest ends March 1 when Shing and Leslie pick a winner!

The 2nd Annual Turkey Hands Contest

hand-turkey1Back by popular demand! Chris Ryniak is hosting the 2nd Annual Turkey Hands contest over on the Circus Posterus forums.

It doesn’t matter if you have museum quality art skills or pathetic ones like I do because all are welcome (just become a member of the forum).

Just in time for Thanksgiving, so get started tracing those hands!

The rules are simple –

1.TRACE YOUR HAND
2.Then turn your hand drawing into something else, doesn’t have to be a turkey. The more creative the better. Hell, you might even want to pander a little…maybe something CP related (just a suggestion).
3. Post your image on the Circus Posterus contest thread by the deadline – Saturday NOVEMBER 30th!

(Limited to 3 entries per person.)

Chris will be picking a winner on his own criteria…including possibly humour, skill, lack of skill, the fate of your turkey hand drawing is entirely in his very large and decisive hands. But the prize will be worth it – it’s a random bundle of CMR goodies, including an original drawing!

This contest is open to EVERYONE(regardless of post count), so if you’ve been meaning to join in the fun and hilarity of the Circus Posterus Sideshow, this is the time!

CONTEST: Show us your Ghostly Spirits! ENDING JUNE 14th

Have you taken a picture and noticed an apparition in the background? Or perhaps a ghostly figure creeping in a reflection? Well then, you have a good entry into the latest Circus Posterus Contest! 

The spirits are restless and we need you to help give them their due! With that in mind we have a contest to extend to all of you Misfits out there in the Sideshow. Give us your best version of spirit photography, and post it in the contest thread!

No photo is too elaborate, no video too extravagant, no interpretive dance too interpretive. So dress up, make some pictures, dig into crates of your old family portraits, and submit those creepy ideas. You bring the ghosts and we will bring the prize! A prize, you say? YES! The winner will receive a Mini Boo test resin of their choice from the photo above!

To submit to the contest, just join our forum and post a pic! There is no post count minimum but each boardie gets a maximum of three entries.
