Stranger Factory is pleased to announce 3 new solo exhibitions coming to our gallery in June!
Jasmine Becket-Griffith
World renowned fantasy artist, Jasmine Becket-Griffith, known for her highly rendered imaginative ‘pop’ genre fantasy, horror, sci-fi and gothic based artworks, will be focusing on small, highly detailed works for her upcoming exhibition. Her work features doe-eyed innocents in sweet, idealized scenes reminiscent of old master’s portraits. Her soft technique of painting plays with light and color in a way that the transcends typical fantasy narrative and is more of an exploration in escapism from a harsh modern world.
Highly sought out by major entertainment studios from Walt Disney to Hot Topic, Jasmine has reached acclaimed international recognition with her fan base. Her original work can be seen gracing countless books (as well as art books), oracle decks, games, clothing, and more.
Becket-Griffith graduated from the University of Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in Studio Art. She currently lives in Celebration, FL with her husband, Matt and their cats with a satellite studio in London, England.
Desiree Fessler
California based traditional painter, Desiree Fessler will be joining the main gallery room with her exhibition.
Known for her humor and dreamy super sweet, colorful animal imagery, Fessler focuses on new works that explore her fascination with child-hood imagery juxtapozed against the contrasts of haunting and realistic animal archetypes and icons pulling the viewer through purposeful tension and emotions.
Fessler lives in Los Angeles with her husband David, and their amazing dog Ni.
Webb lives in Albuquerque and is a graduate from the University of New Mexico with a BS in Biology.
Opening Reception on June 3rd (6-9 PM)
