Seymour Sets Sail for NYCC

  • by

He just made our jaws drop at Bewitching II at Stranger Factory, and now Seymour aka Peter Kelk is on his way to NYCC. Coming more equipped than Batman’s utility belt, Seymour is bringing 2D and 3D work along with himself to the big apple at the Strychnin Gallery Booth #1780. Up first is the “The Colonial Crusaders” limited to an edition of only 100 this play on the DC Comics superheroes is perfect  for the convention, and it is full of righteous mustaches. Then he has an exceptional one off, Colonial Crusader Batman sculpt. This will make all fan boys proud especially considering it comes in a completely awesome handmade case with an extra interchangeable head for the zombie lovers out there. Like the print, Batman’s mustache is pretty epic too. Stop by and say hello to Seymour when there.

NYCC runs Oct. 11-14 at Javits Center in New York City.

I Got a Rock! “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” Print Release

Don’t wait up all night for the Great Pumpkin you Blockhead because tomorrow Dark Hall Mansion releases their “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” prints.

Artist Michael De Pippo illustrates in a very minimalist style with two distinctly different views of the this timeless classic. What I personally love is right in the middle of both versions is poor ol Charlie Brown in his crappy costume holding his sad Halloween treat, a rock.
The above image is of the variant 18″ x 24″ print that has an edition size of 50. The below image is the 18″ x 24″ standard release, edition of 200. There is also a super limited wood print version of each with an edition of 10.
All prints on sale tomorrow Tuesday 9.18.12 at: 9:30 AM PST here.

Bob Staake’s Bad Little Children’s Books

We all know these books or what we used to know them as. You know, the children’s books in the doctor’s office we used to read when Highlights was missing. Yeah those small books with retro covers that were made 20 years before we were born. Well Bob Staake has revamped these vintage works with modern twists called Bad Little Children’s Books These covers depict all kinds of odd, humorous, and satirical scenarios that make us chuckle.

The body parts one is my favorite.
