“Spectacularium” showcases the curiosity and wonder of the combined visions of Albuquerque-based artist couple, Michael and Karen Peters whose collage and assemblage works are layered, reimagined bits of zeitgeist, imbuing a sense of often fleeting fragments of pop culture, both old and new.
Like “The Fool” venturing forward into an unseen divine path, Michael and Karen’s work explores the satirical journey of the everyman, the corporate wage slaves, and, like a cautionary tale, tries to convince us of the newly automated snake oil salesmen, dazzling us with their next round of shiny objects.
