HOORAY! Looks like there will be no problems adapting to the new home you have given him! I am thrilled that you are happy with him. (btw, I always refer to these guys in the masculine, but they have no specified gender, it's entirely up to you) Also, foxgloves are poisonous, so don't eat them

I guess that means a Foxglove has a dangerous side, but is basically good-hearted!

This is a geek-friendly zone, no worries! Hard to call other people geeky, when I spent an hour last night researching albinism, and watched a "birds of the Galapagos islands" documentary while eating lunch today He's mostly named Foxglove because it's a wildflower I happen to really like, and I thought it fit him. But I'm really interested in herbal lore/mythology/mysticism in general, so I love stuff like that.

Well in that case you may like to know that the name Foxglove is in fact a derivation of "Folk's gloves" as in the Fae folk..

Foxglove: Lus na mbau side (Irish Gaelic) Powers: Protection Magical Uses: Grown in the garden it protects it, as well as the home. In the past housewives in Wales used the leaves of the foxglove to make a black dye, which they used to paint crossed lines on the cottage's stone floors. This was done to keep evil from entering the house.*

If you ever do a "Heliotrope" I'm first in line!
P.S. I've got a new stock pile of old fabric growing that i refer to as the Amanda Louise pile! Latest piece, Pajama top from the 50's with white glass buttons /blue striped with some orange -found on the street with some great wooden medical crates and old glass jars.

sea creature14 wrote: are you you willing to get rid of those crates or those glass jars Yes, I have more then I can use, the problem is the shipping, I think you are in the states, and i'm in France, so sadly the heavier things would cost a small fortune to send. If you ever come to Paris, bring an empty suitcase with you and I'll gladly fill it up for you!

I'm glad that my obsessive-compulsive hoarding habits can also be used as a term of endearment My own Amanda Louise pile is OUT OF CONTROL. It's starting to swallow up a good portion of my studio. I seriously need to get in there and thin the herd. Good job on the pajama top find; there are definitely color and pattern combinations on the old stuff that you just don't find anymore.
