I am currently listening to the soundtrack of Spring Awakening - Those you've known - such a good song. I have become a musical junkie (my brother going to school for it doesn't help). Anyone else with me?

It is absolutely shameful that I missed a post about Spring Awakening. That is probably my favorite musical of all time. I was lucky enough to see the touring version when Jake Epstein was Melchior, and it was incredible. Love love love.

I've been listening to a lot of stuff recently. I'm making a huge trip out to Riot Fest in September, and I definitely want to have as much fresh in my head as possible. I'm not as well versed in The Replacements as I know I should be for something like this...

It's in Dutch. But it is such a beautiful song and it made me cry.

I've been listening to both of The Civil Wars albums on heavy rotation. Bittersweet music and bittersweet relationship. Musical soul mates who aren't even talking now, and not promoting the new album or touring.

I have expansive musical tastes, but I'm an Americana/Southern Gothic girl at heart.

I'm glad you found stuff that you love, but I guess this stuff doesn't appeal to me. I don't get it, but I appreciate that you have your own unique taste.

Can I revive the discussion about musicals? Muahaha. I'm listening to the Last Five Years soundtrack...one of my recent faves.

The Screaming Females!!! Everyone should give them a try at some point. The lead singer is this tiny little girl with a ginormous voice and kills it on guitar.

Kishi Bashi - Lighght

Wasn't keen on the first couple of songs, but by the end of the album you want to listen to it over and over again, and the first few songs become favorites..

Well we've been a good few hours drinking
So I'm going to say what everyone's thinking
If we're stuck on this ship and it's sinking
Then we might as well have a parade

One of my hometown heroes is Sibot. Fantastic musician who spent years making beats for Die Antwoord before they blew up. He's kept on his own path for years now and it's some of the most progressive stuff i've heard in a long time (in my humble opinion ; ) )

Free EP here - http://win.gs/PdNfAU
Here's an amazing live set: https://soundcloud.com/sibot/sibot-oppikoppi-2011-game

And here's what he looks like live

Don't believe me? Here's global village idiot Miley Cyrus trying to rap on top of some Sibot tracks : ) http://www.dontparty.co.za/videos/miley-cyrus-jams-sibot-videos/

Beck 'Morning Phase' was a great album, I might have to check out the others that you've listed now :)
