Skull Paintings by Tom French

Skulls with hidden imagery are nothing new, but creating some that have more depth seems to be uncommon. Luckily for all of us, Tom French has a way of creating captivating illusions within his skull paintings. Are we seeing a skull or a couple’s interaction in their relationship? The hidden couples or the hidden skull create an astounding effect you can stare at for many moments. I even will say “beautiful imagery.”

Add a Skull Wall to your Wall

What do we have here lingering around the Stranger Factory? It looks like a Skull Wall by Chet Zar. This original framed  8.5″ x 10.5″ painting is oil on gesso board by Chet. This perfectly represents his style and fits into any skull collection. Why not have a Skull Wall on your wall? It is currently available here. If you hurry up and grab it, I am sure it can be there for your Halloween party!

WIP: Stingy Jack’s New Digs

The Stingy Jack universe continues to creep and crawl with two brand new head sculpts that are currently in progress for Paris’ Le Carnaval des Spectres.

Some of you may recognize the black cat sculpt from one of Brandt Peters’ paintings from Phantasmagoria back in 2010 (“Treat”, below). The Ooze Skull, on the other hand, continues on with this sort of candy gore theme that we’ve seen him flirting with recently, particularly with the Zombambie figure that debuted (and subsequently sold out) at Monsters & Misfits II. That won’t be the last we see of them, by the way.

The cat and skull heads will fit onto the standard Stingy Jack body, in an effort to keep these sculpts as dynamic as possible. With so many modular pieces, the customizing potential is endless. Oh, the fun!
