Doktor A won’t be attending Dragon*Con this year, but he is making his presence known with the release of an exclusive Dragon*Con Killer Target. Limited to a very small edition of 50 with only 40 being available at the con, you can pick up this 11×17 gem for only $25 at the Killer Targets booth in the Grand Hall East of the Hyatt Regency on Saturday and Sunday, at 2PM.

This exclusive print will have you going “pew pew pew” all the way home!

In anticipation of Le Carnaval des Spectres, Vienna-based CP artist Teodoru Badiu has revealed a pair of slick new fine art prints that will release as part of the exhibition next month. Featuring fan favourites Half Life and Mr. Bones, each 11″x17″ print is on natural white matte, ultra smooth paper. Each is an open edition and comes signed and numbered by Teo. They’ll be available in-store and online through Artoyz.

Here’s hoping William Baczek is pet friendly, as Travis Louie is unleashing all of his most unworldly dream creatures for The Secret Pet Society, opening May 2nd through June 2nd. The solo exhibition will showcase new 2D works and from the looks of it, continues where last November’s Curious Pet Show left off.

The exhibition also marks the release of Travis’ new print, Julia and her Swamp Friend, which will be available at the opening reception Sat. May 5th, from 5 to 7pm. They’re an edition of 75 + 10 A/Ps (A/Ps not for sale). The print alone has me contemplating an impromptu flight to Massachusetts … who wouldn’t want a swamp friend?. Have a peek below for our first taster from the show: Wendy and the Ghost of Tim, 10″ x 8″, acrylic on board.

As soon as Pressure Printing’s Brad Keech laid eyes on Travis Louie’s ‘Sarah and Emmett’ at Copro Nason nearly three years ago, he had to have it. He bought it on the spot and also asked Travis if he could be produce it as a print, to which Travis graciously agreed.

This print took years to perfect. Those familiar with Travis Louie’s work can attest to his brilliance: every strand of hair, fleck of an eye, and fold in the fabric is accounted for. No detail is spared. Ever. So imagine the task of reproducing such immaculate detail as a print. And at less than half the physical size.

The result is quite astounding.

Available now and a run of only 50, Travis Louie’s ‘Sarah and Emmett’ has never looked better. Produced from the original painting, hand-stained with gouache and walnut ink and signed/numbered by Travis. Each print also features an embossed dome over the image and debossed decorative pattern around the image. Paper size is 13″ x 9.5″, image is 8″ x 5.5″. A certificate of authenticity is also included. Really, this is fine art printing at its finest (with photos below to prove it).

Visit Pressure Printing’s blog for a beautiful account of the entire process. The prints are available via their shop, here. Treat yourself.
