Joseph Martinez has gone ultra small for his recent show at Black Book Gallery. Using matchbooks as his canvas, he has painted a multitude of pop culture images that are less than a dime in size. The detail is superb for such a small pieces, and personally, the skulls, star wars, and peewee pieces have my eye the most. All the matchbooks come framed (or without if you do wish). With over 50 matchbook pieces created, I wonder if his hand cramped at all? See all the work here.
