We’re getting ready for some HUGE releases this Wednesday!

First, the Sofubi 3 pack in the brilliant Red Glitter colourway – featuring Calliope Jackalope, Stingy Jack, and the BRAND NEW Heathen Snake Skelve by Brandt Peters and Kathie Olivas!

Then, we have the gorgeous Miss Stinky Ginger, by Chris Ryniak, in a pretty golden colourway. It is an edition of 60, and will retail at $89.

The next few items debuted at DesignerCon last year, but we’re finally making them available online.

The Cyan Masao Mini Skelve and Embedded Mini Masao Skelve are both delightful and will be great additions to your collection. They will be $80 each, or $150 for a set.

The Glenn Barr and Brandt Peters collaboration, the Lucky Devil Skelve, will also be available! This mischievous, regular sized, Skelve has a unique body sculpt with a pointy tail! It is an edition of 66 and will retail at $165.

Hope you enjoy our Wednesday releases! I’ll be updating this post with more information and prices soon, but I’m definitely looking forward to this, and I hope you are too!

A look back at the Traveling Circus at Rotofugi

  • by

traveling circusWell, all the artists are settled back at their homes, the fans in attendance are all still rejoicing, and we want all of you to share in the wonderment that was the Traveling Circus at Rotofugi.

Many braved the cold and cancelled flights to attend the show in Chicago, and we are truly grateful. If you couldn’t attend the show (like me) we have a deluge of images from the opening thanks to Jason Spanier. Now everyone can share in the festivities, and don’t forget that there is still plenty of amazing work still available right here on Rotofugi’s site.

We have been previewing all kinds of sideshow fun from the artists the past few weekes, and we thought we would give Chris Ryniak a little love now.

Cabbageworts are ready to be picked

Cabbage

Chris Ryniak has been hard at work gardening in his monster den, and we are happy to say the “Cabbageworts” are all done and heading off to the Circus Posterus group show “Traveling Circus” at Rotofugi Designer Toy Store & Gallery in Chicago, Feb. 15th.

Big eyes, two toothed, and with a fun scarf these heads aren’t going to last long!

Chris Ryniak AMA (ask me anything) this Sunday!

  • by

AMAWe are starting something new on the Circus Posterus Forums this week with the first in a long list of artist AMA chats (ask me anything). Collectors, friends, and followers from all over the world can have access to our artists and ask them those questions that have been plaguing their minds for weeks(years? decades?).

Our first victim is none other than Chris Ryniak!

This is how it all goes down:

  • The AMA will start on Sunday, February 9 at 9pm Central with a new forum thread started.
  • Log in and start asking Chris questions via the forum after the introduction.
  • Chris will answer what he can for one hour on the forum.
  • Prepare your questions ahead of time.
  • Try to ask one part questions so he can answer as many people’s questions as possible in the time allotted.
  • Try to avoid easy questions that can be answered by doing some shallow internet digging.

So, start thinking up those questions, and we will see you right here on Sunday.

More amazing Circus Posterus artists in the works too!

Smells like Chris Ryniak’s Cabbagewort

Oh, could it be? Chris Ryniak has a new figure coming up!
b7e7270e780011e3934d1294553a9b9f_8Your tired eyes don’t deceive you, because Chris Ryniak is making a new figure, titled “Cabbagewort”,  for the Circus Posterus show at RotofugiThis one is homegrown in his own basement studio, which likely means that it’ll be a small edition showcase of his remarkable sculpting talent.

You might remember that Chris has made molds with small editions of great little creatures like Nuggleworts, Bugbites, and Fuzzlethumps. Since this is way early in the creation process, we will let this head grow a bit before we pick it, and let Chris do his gardening and such.

Below is a pile of cast Cabbagewort heads, hanging out with their Fuzzlethump and Crumbeater buddies – we can’t wait to see what Chris will be doing with them!
