Logo ooze_oilish_solo_mask You thought you could escape the Terror Boys? How foolish of you! These splatter house miscreants are unavoidable!

Fresh off the last sold out release of  TERROR BOY – OOZE no.00, we are ready for the second installment of horror filled chaos with Brandt Peters X Ferg – TERROR BOYS OOZE [OILISH]. Creeping into retailers shortly, this oilish terror boy is primed and ready to stir the streets with panic. The Oilish retail release will happen shortly, but for now, we can tell you that this fiend is made of 6″ vinyl, ABS and cloth. It includes: 2 sets of arms (classic and 2.1), 2 sets of lenses (black and red), worn wool shirt, dual machetes, and a removable hood and helmet. Also, we know Ferg likes some tricks, so plan on a few hidden treats for some of you aka 10% of the run will feature a random alternate ooze helmet color.ooze_oilish_solo

Toy Break 265: Tomenosuke x Circus Posterus Sofubi!

  • by

Our buddies George and Ayleen(from Toy Break and October Toys), with special guest J*RYU, reviewed our Stingy Jack, Calliope Jackalope and Stinky Ginger sofubi today, and we’re grateful and excited to hear them talk about our little vinyl babies. It’s always great to hear them chat about toys, but our review begins at 52:00.

“I think the character is adorable…I love pumpkin headed toys.” Ayleen says about Stingy Jack.

“Kathie’s toys have been getting progressively closer to her work…she’s an oil painter, and there’s a really textural element…subtle spray, multiple paint applications.” J*RYU says about Calliope Jackalope.

“I can’t wait to punch Chris Ryniak in the face.” J*RYU says, but seriously, Stinky Ginger was well reviewed too.

We’ve sold out of the charming little Calliope Jackalopes, but Stinky Ginger and two Stingy Jack variants are still available in our store!

And, visit October Toys, Toy Break, and J*RYU, because they are all rad folks.

Kathie Olivas Interview with Vestal Magazine

  • by

haunted

We have a tendency to get pretty swamped with news on this ol’ blog, and sometimes, some things slip through the cracks. So, it was kind of a wonderful surprise – like meeting an old friend – to find this interview with Kathie Olivas with Vestal Magazine! It was published during her wonderful show Haunted, which was exhibited last year at AFA Gallery in New York.

“My body of work focuses on the constant social desire to assign ‘cuteness’. This often serves as a means to make something innocent and more appealing, therefore, non-threatening. Perhaps this allows us to comfort ourselves,” Kathie says.

For more insight into her body of work for Haunted, read the interview! In addition, some of Kathie’s gorgeous work from the Haunted show is still available from AFA Gallery.

IMG_1515

Get ready for the much loved vixens of Glenn Barr this July at Stranger FactoryFor now, we anxiously wait to dive into Glenn’s fantastic fantasy world filled with amazing creatures, aberrant technology, and sumptuous maidens.

We get a small respite while viewing the works as they unfold with this sketch for a new painting by Glenn. A bomb and a bombshell at the helm of an animalistic machine is classic Barr to us. This piece on the drawing table is just a baby step for what will come, and we know what will come will be epic!

Glenn Barr’s exhibit along with Phil Noto and Colin Christian runs July 5th – July 28th, with an opening reception on Friday, July 5th from 6 – 9 PM at Stranger Factory.

SDCC_Square_blue

A year ago I flew into San Diego for my annual adventure in lines, more lines, and  fun, and now the San Diego Comic Con is upon us once again!

This year, Circus Posterus makes an extraordinary return to SDCC, with many thanks to the fine folks of Cardboard Spaceship, who are letting us takeover their booth (#5346) on Saturday, July 20th. On hand will be the amazing work of  Chris Ryniak, Brandt Peters, Amanda Louise Spayd, and Kathie Olivas.

In the weeks to come, we will have specifics on what the crew will have for all the fans but for now, we can tell you that there will be loads of customs, originals, new releases, a contest of sorts, and maybe even an exclusive or two. Don’t start lining up yet because we are working out all the specific times for shenanigans, but we will be sure to let you all know ASAP when we have it finalized.

Keep checking back to the blog for more info!

CC2

Coming July 5th to Stranger Factory,  is a trio of terrific titillation with new works by Colin Christian, Glenn Barr, and Phil Noto. Before the exhibition opens though, we have to show you what the artists are working on.

Colin has been giving us updates from his power tool adorned studio with some of the sculpts he is  creating and as always, they are thriving with sexuality and pop culture flare. Still in early stages, this lovely lady is already taking shape with perfect lips and eyelashes that could cut a man in two. We can’t wait to see her gorgeous face evolve.

Colin’s exhibit along with Phil Noto and Glenn Barr runs July 5th – July 28th, with an opening reception on Friday, July 5th from 6 – 9 PM at Stranger Factory.
